Do You Want Linkedin to Do This?

LinkedIn now uses your photo and name for “social advertising”: i.e., it allows third-party advertisers to use your identity to sell things.

LinkedIn automatically does this unless you tell it not to.

To opt out of using your identity, Go to your home page -> Click on your name at top right —> Click on Settings on the drop-down menu —> Click on Account at bottom left —> Click on Manage Social Advertising —> Uncheck the permissions box.

I’m amazed by how difficult Linkedin has made it to find this option.

Makes You Wonder

Recently someone posted a question on a discussion in a Linkedin group. That’s nice. Then this person rebutted every answer that disagreed with his premise.

This makes me wonder if he was seeking ideas or approval.
